Ten new questions every time. Answer them all, then check: you get your score, and the working for anything you missed.
In this lesson
- Look only at the first two pictures.
- Say the change in words.
- Make the same change to the third picture.
- Check that every change is there.
Your turn
Which picture comes next?
Show the answer
Two more dots appear. The third picture has two dots, so now it has four. The answer is picture C!
The common mistake
Here's a common mistake. Copying the second picture. The answer has to come from the third picture. So keep what stays the same in the third picture, and only make the change.
Try it at home
Make up puzzles of the same kind with things at home: a small cup becomes a big cup, so what does a small box become? Say the change out loud.

Hello, and welcome to Myriora Non-verbal Reasoning! The first picture changes into the second. The third picture changes in the same way. Which picture does it become?
Here's the trick. Look only at the first two pictures. Say the change in words. Then make the same change to the third picture.
This white square becomes a black square. So the change is: white becomes black. Now take the third picture, a white triangle. Make the same change, and you get a black triangle. That's picture C.
Here's a harder one, with two changes. The shape gets bigger, and a circle appears inside. Now start with this small pentagon. Make it bigger, and put a circle inside. Only picture B has both changes.
Let's try one together. Which picture comes next? Here's a tip: say how the arrow moves. Say it out loud!
The answer is picture B! The arrow makes a quarter turn clockwise. So the arrow pointing right now points down.
Here's a common mistake. Copying the second picture. The answer has to come from the third picture. So keep what stays the same in the third picture, and only make the change.
Your turn! Which picture comes next? Pick the right card. You've got ten seconds, or pause the video. Go!
Time's up! Two more dots appear. The third picture has two dots, so now it has four. The answer is picture C!
Quick review. Look only at the first two pictures. Say the change in words. Make the same change to the third picture. Check that every change is there. See you next time!
