Common questions

Where is my progress saved? Will I lose it?

On your device, and nowhere else. That is deliberate: no account means nothing to sign into and nothing for us to lose. It also means progress does not follow you to a new phone, and deleting the app deletes it.

The app closed in the middle of a level. Did I lose the level?

No. The game saves the last settled turn, so you resume at the start of the move you were on — not back at the beginning of the level.

How do I change the language?

Settings, then Language. Factor Gems ships in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, 日本語 and 한국어. It does not follow your phone's language automatically, so you can set it independently.

I have trouble telling the gems apart.

Settings has a colour-blind assist and a factor-pattern option. With patterns on, each gem carries a texture tied to its factors, so shape tells them apart as well as colour.

I am stuck on a level.

Every level in the game has been played through by our own test harness, so none of them is impossible. The Hint button shows a legal move — the first three in a level are free, and after that each new hint costs a move. If the board ever runs out of legal moves it reshuffles itself, free.

Is there any way to pay for extra moves or hints?

No. There is nothing to buy inside the game. You paid once, and that is the whole game.

I want a refund.

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us, and their policy decides. Google Play and the App Store both have a refund request form in your purchase history. If a refund is refused and you think that is wrong, write to us anyway and we will see what we can do.

I found a bug.

Please tell us — support@myrioragames.com. The level number, what you did and what happened is enough. A screenshot or screen recording helps a great deal.

Do you collect any data about me?

None. See the privacy policy — the app is built without internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

If something in the game is hard to use — text size, colour, timing, the size of the targets — we would genuinely like to hear about it. Tell us what you ran into and what would have helped.
